Shrine of St Boniface
|
The Shrine is located at the far end of the entrance hall to the Church.
In April 2004 the Shrine was re-ordered to place the relic of St Boniface
in a purpose built viewing port set into the floor.
This work was designed and undertaken by Roisin and Vincent Cowley and
includes a new stained glass window on the East side, a large engraved
slate plaque, and additional furnishings.
The bas-relief, by the late Kenneth Carter (16.06.1928-24.02.2007), of Boniface felling the
Oak at Geismar, has been retained in its original 1969 position.
