The Saxon Monastery and the later Saxon Cathedral at Crediton have become a topic of renewed interest. Further archaeological work in planned, some of which will take place prior to the Festival 2009 , the 1100th Anniversary of the establishment of the First Bishop of Devon at Crediton.
